Well I thought I submitted this - guess I should have read the instructions better. :) I think it's submitted now. :D Also I guess it is being ran by :iconequivoque: Maybe I have it right this time. :)

Maddie and I had a little play during the "golden hour"

I shot this to be converted into this brown toned high contrast image. I thought I would inter it into :iconphotography-key: toned image contest - but I used a couple of filters so it may not qualify.

I guess I will let them decide - here is what I did.

Shot RAW in color, processed. Converted to black and white using a convert to lab color/ select lightness channel/ then greyscale/ then back to RGB - adding a curve. Duped as a new image. Added noise to give a little grain. Added tones using filled layers set to soft light and low opacity. Duped back onto black and white. Faded toned layer. flattened. duped. added very lightly lucis art filter to pop the detail - faded. flattened. Sharpened.

Would it be okay if I decided to paint this sometime? I will link back to you.

Thanks - I did it myself - just playing and trying to get that contrasty almost grunge sepia
