Sometimes during a session you just have to take the shot.
That is what happened here. We were going to put the baby the other way, but he rolled and gave his stuffed elephant a squeeze and a little smile crossed his face - and well I had to shoot it. I don't care if he is facing away from the light or that there is spill on his back because he is facing the wrong way. I still love it because it is an adorable spontaneous moment and I was able to capture it.
Sorry about all the watermarks. I get permission from clients to post photos on any web gallery I have but I get REALLY peeved when people lift my clients kids from here and think they can use them however they want. It has happened and that is why I post so few clients here on DA.
I almost forgot to tell you - he's about 5 days old!

some moments in life are worth capturing no matter the conditions... and some photos while they may have the best lighting and composition will never live up to such photos as this one! Beautiful!!!!
oh my! the expression is so ... happy making! and the arms draped around the elephant so beautifully... just amazing! also amazing to think he's only 5 days old, when he looks so old and wise - in an adorable, yoda-esque way
